Hello, I am Johannes Müller.

I am an enthusiastic cyclist and have been riding my bikes almost daily for many years. Also in competitive sports. Among other things, I became the Austrian national champion in cyclocross 1999.

Especially in cyclocross, the demands on the material are ruthless. The bikes are moved at high speeds off-road. They need to be light and stable and should absorb the roughest impacts.

Many years ago, I once again faced the dilemma: which bike should I buy. On one hand, I am not a fan of the one-size-fits-all approach. Many manufacturers buy the frames cheaply from the Far East, put their stickers on them and sell them here at a very high price. On the other hand, the frames didn't fit. The wrong handling, the wrong seating position, too stretched, too deep…

So I made the decision to build my own custom frame. At that time, I was already clear that the frame had to be something special. Titanium was my favorite from the beginning. No wonder that the focus was on the material titanium. Especially the flexibility and low weight of titanium frames are unique. Another important factor is the high corrosion resistance of this noble material.

After about a year of preparation, welding courses, searching for titanium suppliers, and researching on the web, I was finally ready in 2012. I built my first own racing bike frame out of titanium. Although my first frame was not a beauty, it still rides perfectly today.

The idea to build the CAPRA came from a customer request. A lightweight small wheel that fits in a backpack and can be quickly set up in the mountains. After a few days of thinking, I created a sketch and built a hardtail prototype out of steel. Although it was unusual at first, the thing was just fun. This was the basis for the further development of the CAPRA Adventure Bikes.

Johannes
